West Coast’s Cargo Express Logistics to Expand by 3,000 Truckloads on Line with Expansion in 2019

Cargo Express, a major freight forwarder with about 30 locations across the US, announced plans on Tuesday to add 3,500 truckloads to its fleet in 2019.

The expansion will begin with a 3,100 truckload capacity and would double the number of its US facilities, which will operate from its Sacramento, California, facility and its Austin, Texas, and Boston, Massachusetts, facilities.

West Coast has been expanding its footprint in the past two years as it continues to grow its presence in the transportation sector.

In January, the company said it would add 10 new freight terminals to its current locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Portland, Oregon, and expand its presence into New York City and Chicago.

In 2019, West Coast will operate 4,600 full-time jobs, up from 3,600 in 2018, according to its latest fiscal year filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In 2019, the number will grow to 12,600.
